Cmd-E AI is a Chrome extension developed by Worthwhile Apps that provides a rapid way to query a large language model without leaving your browser tab. This convenient tool aims to streamline the process of interacting with language models, such as Claude or ChatGPT, by eliminating the need to switch between tabs or copy and paste text.
Often, when reading or writing content in the browser, users find themselves performing repetitive actions, like copying text, opening a new tab, pasting the text, and waiting for a response. With Cmd-E AI, you can avoid this dance by simply pressing a shortcut key.
By pressing Cmd-E (or Control-E on Windows) on any webpage, a modal opens with fully customizable template prompts. If you have selected any text on the page, the prompts are pre-filled with that text, making it even more convenient to ask your questions or provide instructions to the language model.
